Thought you might be getting bored of the Doodle cloth so I'd give you a picture to intrigue you. What is it going to be?

Scalloped blanket stitch.

Did I miss a day? This is satin stitch. There is definitely room to get up to day 25.

Day 15 & 16 Doodle cloth

Back stitch (but half pekinese really) with seed stitch at the top.

All caught up on posting now. I am doing other stuff but its secret squirrel Christmas type things.

Christmas decoration tutorial pt2

Put ribbon on the centre top and a bell (optional) centre bottom. Join the two halves together on four sides, stuff with leftover fleece/material etc. Close the remaining side. You can then embellish with sequins or beads to catch the light. If you have older children they would enjoy doing this part with fabric glue.

Christmas decoration tutorial pt 1

(Part two tomorrow when I've finished it!)

Cut a circle out using a jam jar lid as a template. Out of cardboard cut a 60 degree triangle 5cm x 5cm x 5cm. I used felt, shrunken jumpers & fleece to give colours & textures. Mark out sewing line with the triangle using a sharpie and sew 5 together, do the next 5 and join together leaving one open to let you put stuffing in .... tbc

Day 10 Doodle cloth

Flat stitch. Its starting to fill. 10 more days worth maybe?

Day 9 Doodle cloth

Couching, this is used to hold down multiple threads.

Day 8 Doodle cloth

Blanket stitch and one of the whole piece too. Not sure how long its going to take to fill it all in?

Day 7 Doodle cloth

Feather stitch, worked both ways to form a flourish at the end of the line. My fav discovery so far.

Is it Day 6 Doodle cloth already

A simple cross stitch but the swirl makes it a bit interesting.

Single stitch built up to make a flower with a French knot at the centre

This square is the top of 'Healer' and is the outside of the piece. My cross stitch time is pretty limited now daylight is scarce.
