Three blocks finished (2 in two days which is a record for me).
They look a little puffed up as I have started just finger pressing and making up which seems to be working better for me. Far more of my points matched first time. Thus avoiding the need to unpick and start again.
I've done a count and there are four left to make to finish the top.Yay!

Lots to do
Todays list is growing, sew 2 blocks so I get on target with having DD's quilt top done by the end of the week
No food in the cupboards so a big shop needed.
Tuesday is swimming day so lots of laps to be done.
Hopefully I'll be able to post a nearly done top layout later. I need to see the colour balance before deciding in the final 2/3 blocks (I also need to count the number of blocks I have done, it was 13 a while ago and I need 20)

My lovely giveaway has arrived
bird book giveaway
The lovely blog by Lucy Kate had a giveaway and I was the blessed recpient. The book is gorgeous, I'm going to do one of the embrioderies first (I think) as this is an easy go anywhere project and all my other things at the moment are machine based.
Thank you so much for the gift!

Selvege I Pod Case
I avidly follow the selvege efforts of others but never get many myself as most of my makes are from upcycled materials so no selvege. I have collected a few so I used them to house my new toy -

Armed Forces day bunting finished
It looks really lovely (a little bit world cuppy as well!) Daughter was pleased to hear we were flying the flag or at least the bunting!

Bunting away!
The bunting is nearly done, its a multi purpose world cup and armed forces day colourway
I'm sure red and blue will be appropriate for lots of other patriotic occasions as well. Just the binding to put them on to make. That'll be tonight's job.

Last ruffle block done
One of four blocks with ruffles to give DD's quilt a bit of 3d appeal
There are 7 more to do and the batting arrived last week so I'm getting really impatient to make up the top. Its her birthday in August and I really want to be able to give it to her then. She'll wait if not but that would make me sad.

Another finish
The embroidered tablecloth is done
My mum did one side soon after her 21st birthday (it was a present for her 21st off someone) and then me and my brother came along so she must have too busy to do anymore. I found it in her things after she died so decided it would be a nice heirloom if it were finished off.
I have put the date it was started and finished and both our initials in leaves on the corners!

Camera Case and Quilted strap cover
....all tucked up and cosy .... and they match which is even better.
Another good benefit is that they aren't branded so no one knows that it isn't just a rubbish camera underneath, a big beneift when out togging.
This photo is however taken with my camera and very fuzzy. Oh well!
